I have known Jessie since I was an Eskimo in dance class… many, MANY years ago… (but again, let’s not get into how old I really am…) It is such an honor that she came to me both this year and last year for her family portraits. I’d like to think that I have won Gabby over this year. (She was not so fond of me last year.)
Thanks so much guys! Loved finally meeting Sofia! Such a beautiful family!
Please be in prayer tomorrow as my brother and family return to Kenya to continue their mission work.
Thank you for your prayers the last month. Please continue to cover them in prayer as they find their new “normal” without Hannah…

My brother and family had a super hero photo shoot while they were in the states.
My sweet niece, Hannah, during her 1 year cake smash.
I love babies! They are so much fun to snuggle! I got to hang out with this cutie on Thursday. It’s okay if you’re jealous!
I love the simplicity of this.
It took a lot of convincing, but Lucas FINALLY fell asleep… And we took that opportunity to let him snuggle his “big brother” the lion…
Milk bubbles are the best.
No newborn session is complete without bits ‘n’ pieces shots.
What a blessing Lucas is! Congratulations guys! And thanks for sharing him with me for a few hours!
Call me biased, but I have the most adorable nephews ever! These cuties return to Kenya on Tuesday. Their parents (my brother and sister-in-law) are medical missionaries… Please keep them in your prayers as they fly back on April 30th.
Like I said, adorable!
My oldest nephew, Noah, was inspired by my hungry caterpillar book I did for my daughter, Genesis. (https://photographybykatiebingaman.wordpress.com/2013/03/05/genesis-is-the-very-hungry-caterpillar/) Initially he wanted to do a caterpillar book for himself (according to his mother, he liked the idea of eating a lot of food… can’t blame him… Genesis had a blast!) Rather than the hungry caterpillar, they decided on a superhero story book. Here are a couple of images from their superhero session…
Probably my favorite family photo…. ever.
The three cutest superheros…
Car chase scene… (with a little behind the scenes action)…
Feel free to follow my brothers journey in Kenya http://www.aaroninkenya.com
I had the opportunity to photograph an old friend from high school’s family this past weekend. (Let’s NOT discuss the fact that we graduated high school over 10 years ago…. lol) It was so wonderful to finally meet her daughter, Gabi! Although she made all four of us really work for her smiles, she did an amazing job! Now check out this beautiful little girl!!!
Let’s not wait another ten years until we see each other again, Jackie!
I know for me and my family, I am usually the one taking pictures. Very rarely do I get a nice photo of Genesis and I (other than the occasional “miracle” photo via iphone camera). And an excuse that I hear often from mothers (and let’s face it, I’ve used it myself a time or two…)
…”I need to lose weight”…
Years from now, when we are long gone… our children are not going to wish that their mother was thinner in every photo. More than likely, they are going to wish they had more photos of you. I think its important that we, as mother’s, make sure we step out on the other side of the camera, whether we are comfortable with our bodies or not, and capture memories with our children.
Because of this, I am planning to have “Mommy & Me” mini sessions this summer. My hope is that you will let go of any insecurities you may have and jump at the chance to have some fun photos with your children!
Stay tuned for more details on these sessions…
Me and my daughter (at six months)
Clearly we need an updated professional photo (she’s a year old now)! Thank you to Megan Shadle for taking this beautiful photo of us!
