I love babies!  They are so much fun to snuggle!  I got to hang out with this cutie on Thursday.  It’s okay if you’re jealous!

I love the simplicity of this.

It took a lot of convincing, but Lucas FINALLY fell asleep… And we took that opportunity to let him snuggle his “big brother” the lion…

Milk bubbles are the best.

No newborn session is complete without bits ‘n’ pieces shots.

What a blessing Lucas is!  Congratulations guys!  And thanks for sharing him with me for a few hours!

Call me biased, but I have the most adorable nephews ever!  These cuties return to Kenya on Tuesday.  Their parents (my brother and sister-in-law) are medical missionaries… Please keep them in your prayers as they fly back on April 30th.

Like I said, adorable!IMG_5151-adv

My oldest nephew, Noah, was inspired by my hungry caterpillar book I did for my daughter, Genesis. (  Initially he wanted to do a caterpillar book for himself (according to his mother, he liked the idea of eating a lot of food… can’t blame him… Genesis had a blast!)  Rather than the hungry caterpillar, they decided on a superhero story book.  Here are a couple of images from their superhero session…

Probably my favorite family photo…. ever.

Genesis IS the Very Hungry Caterpillar

I’m not one for enjoying planning events… (Just ask my mother, who pretty much planned my whole wedding).  I’m not sure if it is my attention span that is similar to a two year old’s or what… So surprisingly,  I really got into planning my daughter’s “Hungry Caterpillar” birthday party!

One idea I had was to “remake” the Hungry Caterpillar book and make it a picture book of Genesis.  It took a lot of planning (from figuring out what outfits to wear, to the backdrop to use, to keeping Genesis interested in this long photo shoot, to designing the actual pages of the book).

Here is a sneak peek inside her book:

I’m convinced that if we had our wedding themed in The Very Hungry Caterpillar  I would have been more productive in the planning!

Genesis turns one!

My daughter loves to be read to.  She especially loves “The Very Hungry Caterpillar” book.  So it only made sense to have a hungry caterpillar themed party.  Here are pics from her smash cake session.  The cake was so beautifully done that it was almost painful to have Genesis tear into it.

Sweet Sommertime Cakes in Milroy, Pa did the cake.  You can find her on facebook at
