Hardin {Lewistown, Pa} Family Session

It seems crazy to me that my sister’s best friend growing up has four kiddos (and the cutest dog ever).  Weren’t we all just a couple of years ago playing kick the can outside your house, Annie?!?!  Where does the time go….

Thank you for trusting me to capture your beautiful family.

Yoder {Lewistown, Pa} Family Session

About a year before my oldest, Genesis, went to Kindergarten she sat down and started sobbing because she just wanted to learn how to read.  She couldn’t believe she wasn’t able to yet!  Aside from consoling her little heart and having a pretty good chuckle we assured her that she would be able to read soon.  It wasn’t long into kindergarten she really started to pick up on it.  She was given more and more sight words by her teacher every day and I was told one day as she was handed extra word flash cards that Genesis kind of stared at her like… “that’s it?”  This kid LOVES to read!!

I am so appreciative to this special woman here for not only teaching Genesis to read but for fixing her boo boos and listening to her anxious concerns when I couldn’t be there for her while she was at school.  She truly is an amazing teacher and I will forever be appreciative for all that she taught my daughter.  ❤

Thank you for allowing me to photograph your beautiful family, Amanda!  My hope is that as the years pass and you see these photos hanging on your wall you are able to remember all of the little details of your family when your kids were little… adventurous and curious spirits, silly faces, and the love you all shared.  ❤ ❤ ❤

I blogged…

Guys, I don’t want to confess this… but it’s literally been almost 8 months since I last blogged.  Since I work from home I feel like prioritizing is a daily struggle — However, I’m sure this is true for working mama’s as well!

Do I try to keep up with the housework?? (Although, I feel like I just maintain a healthy level of chaos over here: not completely clean but not a complete disaster either.)  Or do I make sure that I’m on top of social media posts and blogging while still keeping up with the daily emailing clients back and forth, setting up consultations/sessions and let’s not forget the actual sessions themselves, ordering product, and delivering it to my clients.

Never mind the constant pressure (it feels) from social media to maintain absolute perfection.  Perfect photos, perfect Instagram feed/ Facebook feed.  Post what will interest people to gain interaction so the people who like your page will have the opportunity to actually see your photos you post.  But don’t post on 2 pm on a Wednesday because according to Facebook that isn’t an ideal time to get interaction.  (<—- no idea if that time actually isn’t ideal.  I refuse to do the research or obsess about posting times… with three kids, ain’t nobody got time for that.)  Don’t post too much personal content to your social media accounts… but post some that your potential clients get to know you a bit more and see you rather than just your brand.

I feel like most days I have been spinning in circles between keeping my younger two entertained while I try to finally sit down and edit that last session.  But, oh crap!  It’s 3pm and I still haven’t figured out what’s for dinner…

If you’ve lasted this long into this blog post, Lord bless ya!  I have no idea what the answer is to maintaining the perfect balance between working from home (which I absolutely love to do) and managing life….

But for today… I blogged.

Graybill Sneak Peek {Lewistown, Pa} Newborn Photographer

It’s been a while since I’ve blogged a session and what a session to start up again!

I have known Kristen for many, many, MANY years.  What an absolute honor it was to be asked to photograph her long awaited addition, Evelynn.  Thank you so much for asking me, guys.  I so enjoyed snuggling your little one and capturing her at 6 days new! ❤

Enjoy your sneak peek! ❤ ❤ ❤

When Kolby’s mom contacted me several months ago and mentioned that she wanted to bring a vehicle and motocross bike, I was beyond excited!  We waited ever-so-patiently for the leaves to turn and I got a call from her one day saying that the leaves were at their peak so we had to moved up the appointment.   We could not have had a more perfect day.  The temperature was wonderful, the leaves were perfect!  And we got some AMAZING shots!

I had a great time photographing this family!!  These two cuties had me running but we got some AMAZING stuff!  😉 Oh, and I learned that Colton can climb (and stand) on a chair like a boss!  In fact, he gave me some of the most amazing smiles as he was balancing!  I can only imagine him monkey-ing around the house at home!

Thanks so much for asking me to capture your family!  Enjoy your sneak peek!!! ❤ 447A8057 copy-adv 447A8079 copy-adv 447A8089 copy-adv 447A8093 copy-adv 447A8105 copy-adv 447A8134 copy-adv 447A8130 copy-adv 447A8194 copy-adv 447A8202 copy-adv 447A8209 copy-adv 447A8346 copy-adv 447A8250 copy-adv447A8063 copy-adv 447A8382 copy-advOh and seriously, this one!?! Strawser Sneak Peek {Mifflintown, Pa} Children’s Photographer

I started photographing Kennedy when she turned two years old.  She was extremely nervous that first time so we ended up chasing each other and just played around.  We ended up getting some great shots!  This year she is turning FIVE!!!  (I cannot believe how quickly the time is passing!)  This time, I didn’t need to chase her or anything!  She seriously rocked it!  ❤ ❤ ❤ See for yourself! 😉
